Dr Johann Lochner - Periodontist

  • Dr Johann Lochner qualified as a general dentist in 1996 at the University of Stellenbosch , South Africa. He was awarded best final year student in Crown and Bridge as well as the best final year student in Periodontology.
  • He worked as a full time general dental practitioner from 1996 to 2000.
  • In 2000 he was awarded MFGDP by the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng) after which he worked as a Senior House Officer at the New castle Upon Tyne Dental School.
  • Having been awarded the MFDS by the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng) in 2002 he returned to work in a private practice in Bechenham Kent until 2004 after which he returned back to South Africa to specialize in Oral Medicine and Periodontology at the University of the Western Cape.
  • He is currently a part-time consultant at the UWC in the Dept. of Oral Medicine and Periodontology.
  • Dr Lochner has served on the Executive Committee of the Cape Society of Dental Implantology since 2005.
  • Johann is an avid golfer and is a valuable asset and member of the specialist team at The Centre for Cosmetic Dentistry and Implantology at Intercare Tygervalley.
